Corpus Christi at Infant Jesus of Prague Church
Last Sunday, the 25th, was the second time I, with family, attended Mass at the Holy Infant Jesus Church, but only this time could we have pictures, as shown above.
As it was a Corpus Christi Sunday Eucharistic celebration, the Carmelite priest who officiated it emphasized in his homily the importance of giving time to meditate and ponder on the meaning of this solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ to our lives – to our very salvation. Before the final blessing, the congregation was requested to kneel and he led a most solemn prayer of worship, praise and thanksgiving in honor of Jesus, God Incarnate, Who suffered and died to save us; Who, in the form of bread and wine (His Body and Blood), makes Himself available for us in all tabernacles in Catholic churches all over the world to fulfill His words in the Gospel: “And I will be with you always to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)
Jesus is always waiting for our visit, for us to pour out our pains and triumphs, sorrows and joys, failures and successes, all experiences that we can share. He is in any Catholic church in the most Blessed Sacrament – His Ever-living Presence, beckoning us “Come to Me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest”.
For the above solemnity, and for the Holy Infant Jesus of Prague, I dedicate this post.
