Obtaining our Visas: Faith in Action! Part 2
Oh, it’s nearly one month that I have not attended to this site, and…mea culpa, I’m very sorry for that… if only to myself. I should offer no excuse. With downcast eyes, here I am back again, to strive once more not to fail – may not be daily but at least regularly. How often is “regular”? Two, three times a week, at least? It remains to be seen. Up again, mom. Thank you all of you who have put up, and for dropping by all these days.
I’ve been back from a two-month trip, with all thanksgiving to God! We’ve visited some places of interest, but this I blog in the lighter side beginning here. For this site however, I have so many to share but above all, I should finish this, which is long-overdue. So may I continue:
That morning of Monday (May 5th), even when still at the embassy, I had my mind rolling for ways how we could come up with the two documents required (and ASAP!): the Czech marriage certificate of Daisy, and her Czech permanent residence card. I called her (she was at home in Negros) as soon as we got out of the embassy office. The second requirement could be scanned and sent right away, but the problem was with the first one. She didn’t have it with her, it’s in Prague, and her hubby who went home ahead of her was out-of-country that time, no one could send it. So my daughter called the embassy, talked to the consul, and praise God, she consented to have instead their Philippine marriage contract as they were wedded here in Bacolod City. So the two requirements were submitted that very Monday noon, thanks to the internet Whew! At least not a day passed which could lessen the count off until our visas could possibly be processed.
Upon arriving home from Manila, I told Daisy, she had to send an email to the Czech embassy, explaining the situation, the reason of the urgency of our visas, which she did. We had to do all if only to ensure we could have our visas released. Our flight was definitely on the 17th, the three of us had tickets for this.
I had to go back to the capital city one week after, this time it was already May 13. I wouldn’t have time to be back to Negros, so I had to pack up and prepare to travel to Prague already.
Oh oh…time’s up, I have to continue this tomorrow, God please help me!
