Obtaining our Visas: Faith in Action! Part 2 (continued)
So I went ahead of them to follow up our visas, but I choose Tuesday for this so I could attend our community’s fellowship at Amvel City Park before being away from the country, and to fulfill my promise regarding my Walk of Faith last March (I’ll treat this in another post). It was a memorable moment of my first testimony on stage before hundreds of thousands, but the Lord was with me, giving me courage…praise You Lord!
Aside from the thanksgiving I promised to give on stage, I already thanked God for the trip of our family: “Right now I’m going to follow up our visas yet but I’m sure, by God’s grace, that as I stand and boldly proclaim His greatness, as I thank Him before the assembly tonight, God is already working on the documents for our Saturday flight.” I firmly believed it in my heart.
On the 15th when I arrived at the embassy, I was already #20 - and way behind! Until it was a few minutes before closing time (12 noon), and by whichever circumstance, I was far from my turn, not all could be served, it had to be the next office day. And that would be Monday! Ahhh but the wisdom of God came to the rescue, I approached the guard and explained our predicament, and he gave me the way to talk to the staff, or else…oh, we could not leave !!! The processing would be through by the afternoon yet, I was told, but I had to call first in the morning, our visas would be released by then.
The next day, Friday - the day before our flight - the visa section was NOT supposed to be open, and surely when I came, it was closed, but a staff came out of the office to handle our visas. Oh, glory to God! His faithfulness lasts forever!
Soooo….. Europe, here I come!
(Note Our gratitude and thanks also go to the Czech embassy for listening to our plight, and facilitating our visas even with such a short time - I’d say not all embassies treat their applicants that way. We praise and thank God for the Czech embassy! The Holy Infant Jesus of Prague is surely happy for them too
